Is your hot water running out too fast, turning lukewarm, or gone completely? In Kennesaw, hard-working electric water heaters deal with daily demand, mineral buildup, and aging components, and Integrated Plumbing Solutions has been helping Atlanta-area homeowners since 2012 with honest diagnosis, repair, and replacement.

We work on standard tank-style electric water heaters, heating elements, thermostats, anode rods, breaker-related issues, and leaking tanks.

When your water heater starts acting up, quick action can help you avoid water damage, bigger repair bills, and the frustration of cold showers. Call today to schedule electric water heater service in Kennesaw and the greater Atlanta area.

Benefits Of Electric Water Heaters

For many homes, electric water heaters are a practical fit because they are widely available, straightforward to maintain, and compatible with many plumbing layouts. They are especially common in older Atlanta-area homes where the existing setup already supports an electric tank system, making repair or replacement more predictable.

If your current unit is struggling, the symptoms usually point to a specific problem. We inspect the tank, upper and lower heating elements, thermostat, wiring, temperature and pressure relief valve, and surrounding connections to find out whether a repair makes sense or if replacement is the better investment.

  • Consistent Hot Water: A properly sized and functioning electric water heater keeps up better with showers, laundry, and dishwashing without sudden temperature drops.
  • Lower Operating Waste: Newer models can reduce standby heat loss, which helps control energy use when your old tank is working harder than it should.
  • Cleaner, Safer Operation: Electric units do not rely on gas combustion, and that can simplify installation conditions in some homes.
  • Repairable Components: Many no-hot-water issues come down to failed heating elements, thermostats, or electrical connections that can often be replaced without changing the whole tank.
  • Straightforward Replacement Path: When a tank is leaking or badly corroded, swapping in a properly sized new model can restore reliable service with minimal disruption.

Some problems feel small at first, but they rarely stay that way. Water that smells metallic, popping sounds from sediment inside the tank, or a breaker that keeps tripping can all signal that your electric water heater needs professional attention before it fails at the worst time.

Electric Water Heater Repair And Replacement

Most electric water heater repair calls come down to a few common causes. If you have no hot water at all, a failed heating element, tripped breaker, bad thermostat, or loose electrical connection is often to blame. If you get hot water for only a few minutes, the lower element may be burned out or the tank may be undersized for your household’s demand.

Leaking is where homeowners need to pay close attention. A loose connection or failing temperature and pressure valve may be repairable, but a tank leak usually means corrosion has reached the tank itself, and replacement is the safer move. That is one reason we explain what we find in plain language, because customers consistently tell us they value clear answers and transparent quotes.

Many homeowners ask if they can fix an electric water heater themselves. Resetting a breaker is reasonable, but electrical testing, thermostat replacement, heating element work, and anything involving a leaking tank should be handled by a licensed plumber for safety and to protect the unit.

Repair cost depends on the failed part, the tank’s age, accessibility, and whether damage has spread to nearby plumbing connections. Replacement decisions often come down to tank condition, recurring repairs, energy efficiency, and how well the current unit matches your family’s usage. If repeated breakdowns are affecting other fixtures, related bathroom plumbing or kitchen plumbing issues may also be worth checking.

Most repairs can be completed the same day when the issue is limited to accessible components, and our fully stocked trucks help with that. If the tank needs replacement, we remove the old unit, install the new electric water heater, test heating performance, verify safe operation, and confirm you are getting the hot water recovery you expect. For sudden leaks or total failure, our emergency plumbing service is available when fast response matters.

On August 5th 2006 we had an emergency situation where 2 of our 9 toilets toilets were overflowing and the rest unable to flush due to fear of overflowing (the water would rise and slowly recede). The first company (I will not name) came out and decided that the job was to big for them.
Integrated sent Thomas and Christian out that afternoon. They worked several hours until they found the problem.
Thank you Thomas and Christian for sticking with it. We have about 40 people working in this facility and this saved us from have to shut down.
